Prep the confetti cannons, stock up on glitter and sequins, and fill the tanks with tanning spray! Season 27 of “Dancing With the Stars” is ready to begin Monday night. Thirteen celebrities have voluntarily submitted to strenuous rehearsals in preparation for appearing in public to display their success (or failure) at remembering the routines. While the celebs are new to the ballroom, host Tom Bergeron, co-host Erin Andrews and judges Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli are returning for another season. Most of the pro dancers are returning from “mini” Season 26-All Athletes. Plus there are two favorites from past seasons — Cheryl Burke and Val Chmerkovskiy — and a new pro, Brandon Armstrong, who was promoted from the DWTS Troupe.

As usual, the celebs follow a pattern of sorts, There is always at least one very young celeb, at least one much older celeb, a celeb from a Disney show (ABC is owned by Disney), at least one singer and at least one celeb who is conquering a physical challenge, Season 27 has all of that and even some blasts from the past for avid TV watchers, Here, in alphabetical order by last name, rtbu nico lace up knee hi padlock ballet fetish pain boots baby pink are the Season 27 celebs and their pro teammates, Joe “Grocery Store Joe” Amabile, a participant in the “Bachelor” nation, and Jenna Johnson, who won the Season 26 Mirrorball Trophy with Adam Rippon..

Actor and singer Milo Manheim from the Disney Channel, whose mom is actress Camryn Manheim, partnered with Witney Carson. Former NFL linebacker DeMarcus Ware is teamed with Lindsay Arnold. That is the lineup for Season 27, but don’t think that the pro dancers were taking it easy over the summer. Many of them were acting as mentors to the mini-celebs and young pros of “Dancing With the Stars Jr.,” which debuts Sunday, Oct. 7. The DWTS Jr. shows were all pre-taped since the kids (13 was the cut-off age) had to return to school in the fall. The pro/mentors worked on the Jr. show for July and August, and then shifted into two weeks of rehearsals with their DWTS celebs. Whew.

For both weeks 1 and 2 of DWTS, there will be shows Monday and Tuesday nights. For Week 1, each couple will perform two (!) dances, and one pair will be eliminated Tuesday night, Wow! And it doesn’t get easier, On Week 2, two couples will be sent home on Tuesday, Oct, 2, Now that’s called hitting the dance floor at top speed, So, who do you think will be gone by Week 3? And who might end up with the Mirrorball Trophy in their arms? Look for my recaps after each show to find out who danced on air and who rtbu nico lace up knee hi padlock ballet fetish pain boots baby pink had two left feet, See you Monday night — keep dancing..
