And so we're seeing some substantial strength there and the thing that's actually growing the most is the iTunes software and services category, which has the App Store and etc., and that area is almost doubling year-over-year. And so it's very, very exciting what we're seeing there. We are still in the process of rolling out, along with our partner China Mobile, the TD-LTE into more cities and we're still in early going on that. That just started in January, as you know. And my understanding is that later this year, there will be a license for the other operators to begin shipping FDD-LTE, which I think is another big opportunity in China."For Apple CEO Tim Cook, it was a time to talk up China and a new partnership with IBM -- and to downplay weak iPad sales.
According to a Wall Street Journal report earlier this week, Apple will announce two new iPhone models this September: a 4.7-inch version and a 5.5-inch version, For those of us who have squinted at 3.5- and 4-inch iPhones for as long as we can remember, this is good news indeed, But it also poses quite the conundrum: Which size to get?, You, the Android faithful, have enjoyed larger smartphones for years, The 4.7-inch Moto X , the 5-inch Galaxy S4 , the 5.5-inch LG Optimus G Pro -- you've had ample opportunity to test-drive these and other pocket-busting models, flock of birds iphone case so who better to advise the iPhone user who's ready to trade up?..
I know, I know -- you want to remind us that we're dumb to buy Apple products, that iOS steals all its best features from Android, that if we want a bigger screen, we shouldn't bother waiting for the iPhone 6. Because Android FTW. Let's just take all that as read and move on to the question at hand. Which is the better screen size, 4.7 or 5.5 inches? Is the latter too big? The former not big enough? One complaint I'm always hearing is that bigger phones can't be operated with one hand, that you can no longer sweep a thumb across the entirety of the screen. True? And, if so, have you learned to live with it?.
Also, what's the pocket damage? Does a 5.5-inch smartphone just crush your ability to, say, sit cross-legged on the floor? How about a 4.7-incher?, As a runner, I typically shoehorn my iPhone into a stretchy waistband called a SPIbelt, My 4S fit just fine; my 5S is pushing it, I'm thinking a 4.7-inch iPhone 6 would be difficult, and a 5.5 simply too large to carry that way, Owners of phones of that size, flock of birds iphone case are you able to take them out for exercise?, Bottom line, oh wise Android users: What screen size do you think iPhone 6 buyers should choose -- and why?..
If the rumors are true, Apple will soon offer 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch iPhones. Android users have enjoyed those sizes for years. What are the pros and cons?. Okay, Android users. It's time to reach across the aisle, to engage in a little friendly bipartisanship. Because we, the "Apple fanboys," the "iSheep," need your help. Be respectful, keep it civil and stay on topic. After having gotten to know the Note 3 for a few months, I'm back to say: iPhone? What iPhone?, This big new slab of tech has been much more satisfying to use than my iPhone ever was, Sure I miss some of the flock of birds iphone case ease with which my old phone integrated with iTunes, but beyond that, I can't really think of a reason I'd rather go back to Mac than forward with the Note, Now before you accuse CNET or me of being a shill for Samsung, please know this is a personal piece about a personal decision to buy the Note 3, It just happens to be the phone I own, not some kind of publicity stunt from Samsung (although I wish they had given me this monster for free!)..
Now that that's out of the way, here are five reasons I'm loving my phablet, and why you might consider upsizing as well. (You knew that was coming, didn't you? ). Far and away the best thing about this phone is its downright huge screen size. Sure I've had to put up with jokes from friends who ask to borrow my "mini TV" when they need to look something up or make a call, but I chalk that up to jealousy. Clocking in at 5.7 inches, the Note 3's screen is big enough that I can actually enjoy a night of binge-watching "Supernatural" without feeling like I'm viewing the episodes through a keyhole. It also makes surfing the Net a super-pleasurable experience. I can actually read the text and view the photos -- no squinting needed. Lastly, I pretty much do all my e-reading on this thing now, from books to magazines. In fact, I haven't had to boot up my old iPad for use as a reader since I got the phone. Heck, it's almost the size of a small paperback anyway, so it seems natural for this purpose.
So I've come to the conclusion that big is good, Sure, it can be a bit tricky to pull the phone out of the pocket of my jeans when I'm driving, but otherwise, the size has been a non-issue in terms of carrying the thing around, The fact that it's super thin means you get used to having it on your person in about two days, I flock of birds iphone case will say, though, that I find Samsung's split screen feature a little silly, The screen's not THAT big, so I'm not sure you'd ever see value in having two different windows open at once on the thing, but maybe there are people out there who take advantage of the feature, I'm not one of them..
