3. Now, this will be a shocker: I really thought the Argentine tango routine by Bobby Bones and Sharna Burgess was strange but great. The theme of a psycho (to the song, “Mr. Sandman”) slipping into a woman’s bedroom and tracking her all over the room was super-creepy! But Bobby finally seemed to take the show and the choreography seriously. The rehearsal package was all about how exhausted he was and maybe that’s the answer to better performances. Weird. Carrie Ann said, “It’s so bizarre, but that’s your best dance so far,” and Len added that it had mood and atmosphere: “I liked it. Good job!”.

I don’t mean that in a scary, Halloween-y way, but in the sounds coming from the audience and even Erin after the scores for John Schneider and Emma Slater, The judges attacked their paso doble, calling it “one of your roughest performances” and Len tried to be clever by saying, “Supposed to be supernatural, but it wasn’t super and wasn’t natural.” Then he tried to ease up, adding, “everything in hold, I thought was terrific.”, The judges’ comments brought a loud chorus of boos from the audience, and even Erin questioned the judges’ scores two 6s and a 7 when she was interviewing the pair, saying that all of the dancers around her loved it. She normally asks viewers to be sure to vote, but she made a point of encouraging the viewers to vote for John and Emma ballerina pillow, dance pillow, dancer pillow, gift for dancers, dance gifts, dance teacher gifts, ballet gifts, ballet pillow, if they didn’t agree with the judges..

Also, Joe Amabile and Jenna Johnson got a good score for their Argentine tango, but it seems he’s getting rewarded for finally deciding to work at learning to dance, while others who have been working all along are getting lower scores. It’s a head-shaker IMO. And now there is a “showmance” brewing between Alexis and Alan. Maybe they have real feelings for each other, but it was the “elephant in the room” when the pair were talking during the rehearsal package. Even Erin got into it later, teasing Alan about his feelings for Alexis over and over. Enough already.
